PASTOR TOMMY "URBAN D." KYLLONEN
Tommy was raised in Philadelphia and felt to a call to do urban ministry at age 18. After graduating Bible College he founded the youth ministry at Crossover Church. Within a few years it grew to hundreds of teens and young adults and became a national model as he also became a hip-hop artist (Urban D.) signed to a national label. In 2002 he became the lead pastor at the church and it was relaunched with an urban focus.
In 2010 Crossover Church relocated to their new 43,000 square foot facility (A former Toys R' Us) in the heart of Tampa's inner-city. Crossover has become an international model of the new, urban, multi-ethnic church as they have trained over 2,500 urban leaders at their annual Flavor Fest Urban Leadership Conference. Pastor Tommy has spoken and performed at over 1,000 venues across the U.S., Germany, Japan, Nigeria, Australia and the UK.
Greg Harris was raised in Mobile, Al. He relocated to Sarasota, FL. with his parents at the age of 15. Upon graduating High School, Greg entered the workforce where, he quickly excelled into management, and learned to exercise and harness his leadership skills. He received his calling at age 25, when the Lord spoke to him Mark 16:15, “And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.”
Greg was licensed to preach in 2005 and later ordained in 2013. He has served 9 years at Truvine Missionary Baptist Church in Sarasota, Fl. as Youth Pastor, where he also served 6 years as Minister of Stewardship. Along with serving at his local church, Greg also served in the Mount Pilgrim M.B. Association, as one of the Youth Directors and is a hip hop artist (I’ll Be Dat). Feeling the Lord leading him to take a step of faith, Greg resigned from his job in June of 2012. His service since fueled a hunger for a deeper understanding of his faith, and in the spring of 2013 he applied for and was accepted to Crossover Urban Leadership College (CULC) where he is now a student and serves as Cohort Director.
