Rev. Melissa Orekoya is a wife, mother of 3, an ordained minister, church planter and teacher. With a background in Adult/Continuing Education, Rev. Orekoya is a dynamic and experienced professor who believes that education can transform, empower and liberate all students. At SUM she teaches both Generalist Core and Applied Theology Courses, teaching students how to make impactful ministry connections in our everyday lives and how to organize churches structurally and mobilize them to create community relationships through evangelism and partnerships with local organizations. Rev. Orekoya believes that by the work of the Spirit, we can continue to take the world by storm for Christ through higher education, producing leaders for generations to come.
