Angelica Bonet, M.Ed.
M.Ed., Regis University (2015); B.A in Science Mathematics, Universidad Autónoma de Santo Domingo (2001).
My name is Angelica Bonet, I was born and raised the Dominican Republic. I came from a family of educators and I have always known that I wanted to be a teacher. I started at an early age tutoring children in my neighborhood. I have been a teacher for 25+ years at different levels to include public schools, private schools, a Bible College and as an Assistant College Professor. I have a bachelor’s degree in computers, math, bible studies, a master’s degree in math, two post graduate degrees in math, and after moving to the United States in 2011, I completed a master’s degree in education at the Regis University Dual Language Campus. I have a current Teacher’s License in the state of Colorado, and I am an Ordained Ministry with the Assemblies of God at Healing Waters Ministry where I serve as the Director of the Mission’s Department. Teaching, missions and volleyball are my passion. In 1994 after attending a week long workshop in sign language, I was assigned to the Deaf outreach in my community. I soon learned of the needs and obstacles endured by the Deaf community and founded the ministry and school for the deaf where I served from 1994–2010, as the director and primary sign language teacher. For 25+ years we have ministered to the Deaf Community providing social services, teaching them sign language, how to read and write, the bible and teaching them about Jesus and His plan for salvation.
