Dr. Teresa J. Reiger, Ph.D. is a native of southern Louisiana and has called New Orleans home for more than 30 years. A strong proponent of training future ministers and leaders, she has dedicated much of her professional life to higher education and mentorship. Dr. Reiger has served in several capacities at SUM. She began as a professor of theology in 2001 and added the role of Online Faculty Chair in 2010. Dr. Reiger now serves as the Acting COO of SUM. In addition to academia, Dr. Reiger is a licensed minister with the Assemblies of God and is the Founder and Lead Pastor of St. Luke Assembly of God in New Orleans. She is also the Founder and President of Elan Ministries, a non-profit dedicated to urban community development and urban ministry internships.
