Gary Denbow II is a Twin Cities based performer, composer, arranger, and educator. He received his master’s degree’s from the UMKC Conservatory of Music and Dance where he studied under jazz great Bobby Watson. Gary has 13 years of private lesson and classroom teaching experience. He is the founder and director of The Bo Den Bo Project, which is a jazz ensemble that reinterprets modern church music. He is also the artistic director for NorthStar Big Band and is a member of the Genesis Jazz Orchestra led by Dave Hagedorn. He has 35 years of experience as a church musician in various contexts.
